The Business Systems Analyst & IT Manager will hold two functional responsibilities within our manufacturing environment. The best candidate will perform the analysis, definition, design, programming, development, testing, and implementation of applications in Plexpack’s office and manufacturing environment, as well as manage the overall IT infrastructure program including hardware and software standardization, redundancy and compatibility, cyber security and management of third party IT support team.  

Position Responsibilities

The Business Systems Analyst assists in the evaluation, implementation, training, upgrade, and support of changes to existing applications including SQL/ERP projects. The Business Systems Analyst creates and modifies enterprise reporting processes, develops and maintains the necessary documentation, ensuring that all projects are developed according to established standards, procedures, and specifications. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for performing technical problem determination, resolution and support for interfaces, databases or applications within development, test and production environments. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for installing all upgrades, patches, maintenance and training of ERP and other applications in the business environment to ensure system downtimes are at a minimum and systems are up to date for users. The Analyst will look to leverage and streamline current business systems processes in various functional business areas, ensure applications are cost effective and efficient, and create overall system structures that avoid app fatigue and under-utilization.    

The successful candidate will work with both business personnel throughout the organization and with third party IT vendors regarding systems process, technical aspects of all data systems, extraction, report design and development, as well as hardware and software needs.   

The role also requires management of third part IT providers and oversight of corporate wide cyber security provision and auditing, systems, hardware and software standardization, network and connectivity strategy for current and future needs.   

Skills & Knowledge:  

  • Knowledge and understanding of information technology concepts and technologies.  
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and structure and use of information systems to support these operations.  
  • Understanding of data structures and database transaction/analytical/relational database models.  
  • Knowledge of current technology as well as willingness and ability to learn about emerging technologies.  
  • Problem and issue resolution experience.  
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment and deliver quality service.  
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to create technical and user-level documentation.  
  • Effective communication with IT and Business personnel of all levels is critical.  
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  


  • Five years (5) previous work experience in developing and supporting applications and SQL environments in a manufacturing environment is desired.  
  • Good enterprise reporting skills in a business environment is required, as is experience in the following areas:  
  • Programming (SQL, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, VBA, DNN platfrom);  
  • Databases (MS SQL, MySQL, DB2);  
  • Reporting applications (SQL Server Reporting Services, Consona Advanced Reporter,     Excel, SalesForce reporting and dashboard);  
  • Operating systems (Windows 7/10);  
  • Manufacturing Applications (preferred).  
  • Must have proven success in communicating with multiple levels of an organization.  
  • Problem determination and resolution experience.  
  • Experience with API and middleware integration preferred.  
  • Experience in Sharepoint administration a plus.
