Customer Challenge

Puddicombe, a manufacturer of cider, expanding its market, needed to bundle their new canned products according to specific Canadian liquor board regulations. If their package did not meet exact specifications, the liquor board would deny their product. Requirements included specific guidelines for quality of shrink wrap seals, placement, bundle tightness, seams, and package appearance.

About the Customer

Puddicombe is a growing Ontario-based cider company expanding its product line to large liquor boards across Canada.

Solution

Plexpack provided a B34-MP Damark “bulls-eye” bundler, SZ-34-16-EX Shrink Tunnel and conveyor. The B34MP creates consistent, strong sleeve wrapped bundles of supported or unsupported products at speeds up to 14 a minute. No change parts are required for product changes. Wrapping is activated by either two palm buttons or product pusher.
