This L Bar Sealer has a seal area of 16” x 20” and is available in three configurations: SM, SMC, SMCP. (S = Sealer, M = Magnetic Hold Down, C = Package Discharge Conveyor in Seal area, P = Pneumatic Operation of the Seal Head)



The SM Series comes with following standard features:

  • CNC Machined Sealing Head with electro-magnetic hold down and air cushion return cylinder.        
  • A console unit consisting of a heavy gauge steel body and welded tubular steel frame.        
  • Low voltage impulse type sealing system with unique electronic control system for accurate sealing temperatures.        
  • Adjustable stainless steel, product loading platform.        
  • Film clamps.        
  • Perforator roller.        
  • Quick change roll holder system, fully adjustable for different sized rolls of film (20" maximum).        
  • All controls for the machine are conveniently located and include adjustments for conveyor speed, conveyor run time, dwell time and sealing temperature. An auto-clean button for simplified wire cleaning is also included on the control panel.        
  • An adjustable speed product discharge conveyor in the seal area.       
  • 110 volts, 12 amps. 

The SMC Series adds an adjustable speed product discharge conveyor to the basic SM unit. Model SMC 1620 units are pre-drilled and pre-wired to accept a power film unwind system at a later date. The SMCP Series includes a pneumatic sealing head that is activated by palm buttons. The SMCP Series also offers all the features of the SM and SMC series.

Optional Features

  • A power film unwind system can be added to all of our SM/C/P L Bar Sealers. The PFU comes standard with an adjustable inverting head and is an ideal option for increasing productivity and for handling large or awkward products.        
  • Hot Knife Sealing Head

The most commonly used Shrink Tunnels with this model L Bar Sealer are the STR/B 16 and the STR/B 16A.
